Independent Monitoring Surveying
Lender’s Independent Monitoring Surveyor (IMS) is the term that the RICS has defined for the role also known as bank monitoring surveyor, project monitoring surveyor, funder due diligence or funder monitoring.
We consider ourselves the technical ‘eyes and ears’ of the funder, assessing and providing risk analysis from the initial due diligence report through to project completion. Our expert advice provides funders with the information they require in order to understand the technical risks and make informed decisions. Our experience and knowledge are also beneficial to the borrower as, by identifying project risks, this can assist in formulating mitigation strategies.
Whilst we are not Chartered Quantity Surveyors, our Building Surveying team has vast experience in advising funders. We assist a number of lenders covering a wide variety of projects, from small refurbishment schemes to developments of blocks of flats and multi-plot schemes with development budgets of up to £5 million.
